The Technics SL-1500CS combines a coreless direct-drive motor with ΔΣ-Drive digital PWM control to suppress motor-drive harmonics and vibration, further improving rotational accuracy and stability. Its two-layer aluminium/rubber-damped platter, rigid aluminium and glass-fibre-reinforced chassis, high-damping spring/rubber isolators and precision gimbal-mounted aluminium S-shaped tonearm provide high mechanical rigidity, low resonance and accurate groove tracking.

The integrated low-noise MM phono stage uses dedicated ± power supplies, separate grounding and shielding, with a short signal path from the tonearm and full circuit bypass when an external phono stage is used. An Ortofon 2M Red cartridge is supplied as standard, while the non-motorized Auto Lifter raises the tonearm at the end of playback without introducing additional electrical or mechanical interference.
